General English at Melbourne Language Centre focuses
on teaching students the type of English which is needed for
everyday life in Australia and also serves as a stepping stone
to the study of English for Academic Purposes.
Although the course places strong emphasis on communicative
English, students are also taught the important aspects of Reading,
Writing, Listening, Grammar, Vocabulary and Spelling.
MLC teachers use a wide variety of teaching media including:
television, newspapers/magazines, radio, video and the internet.
General English is offered at Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced
levels.
Students undertake monthly tests and their progress is monitored
to ensure they are achieving to their full potential. |
